While curating my ePortfolio for this class, there were various tasks that proved to be easy or to be a roadblock. The easy tasks consisted of updating the media in my "Personal Work" section, altering the color schemes of the page, and modernizing the background photos to match the new colors. There was no reason to change the layout too much, as my previous portfolio already met the requirements for this class' rendition.
However, the difficult part of this assignment was finding enough to change about the portfolio without ruining the layout beyond repair. I found that messing with larger aspects, specifically moving them, automatically alters the rest of the page layout, so there were some parts of my layout I decided not to edit aside from the basic appearance and colors.
I feel relatively confident in how I portray myself professionally through this ePortfolio. I believe that I provide a lot of appropriate personal media to support my resume, but I ultimately lack professional experience in the communications field. While I'm confident in my skills and my professional appearance, I believe that the absence of any previous work in a communications-related job may take me down a peg with employers.
I don't have any questions at this stage of the ePortfolio project. I hope to have a great semester and further improve this portfolio for use in the future!
Below I've attached a handful of images that highlight design changes I made during this assignment.
